Athletes International is a service organization created by
and for members of the Canadian sport community including athletes in all sports - swimming, fencing, skating, track... and dozens more. Our
primary role is to provide member benefits in the form of
product and service discounts from partners in industries
of particular need such as travel and equipment. Many of
our current benefits are related to air travel where we
currently provide:
- Special airfares to many destinations worldwide.
- Exclusive conditions for travel: free change of
reservation, no or reduced minimum stay, name change,
making reservations for individuals and groups
without names on hand, free stopovers, etc.
- Help for family members traveling to competitions
in other cities or countries.
Air travel benefits are just the beginning - as Athletes
International grows, the range of service we offer is
expanding to include benefits in moving costs, hotels,
restaurants, car rentals, retail outlets - and more.
And just as important, you join a team of people who
share your passion for sport - for life!
At Athletes International our goal is also to help promote
a strong sense of community and sharing in Canadian sport.
We are dedicated to the promotion of Olympism and athletic
accomplishment, and to encouraging participation in all
areas and levels of sport. Through a wide range of community
activities, and fundraising events (from fashion shows to
corporate triathlons), we offer members the opportunity to:
- Meet business and community leaders as well as other
athletes;
- Showcase their sport in our events;
- Contribute to the broader community through fundraising
events;
- Build a stronger sense of community by meeting other
athletes including Paralympians, Special Olympians and
retired athletes;
- Achieve recognition by both the athletic community
and the general public.
Joining Athletes International
and receiving benefits and services is free. Unlike other organizations
which support athletes by individual funding or sponsorship, we require no
time commitment or wearing of logos by our members in order
for them to reap the benefits of Athletes International.
Our aim is to allow athletes, coaches, and others, to
focus on their sport and pursue their goals without
interfering with other sponsorship commitments.
